empuron produces software for internet-based monitoring of photovoltaic plants. The basis of the empuron software is a middleware system with means of which modular components (SOA --> Service Oriented Architecture) can be added or used multiply. The system is platform-independent, in the internet, as well as pure JAVA application locally insertable. The system provides the opportunity of assuring the optimal operation through the complete durability of the plants to the photovoltaic plant operators. Therefor a set of software and hardware modules is supplied. By means of these modules the popular requirements are solved: Manufacturer overlapping plant monitoring, visualization and reporting, as well as cost effectiveness studies. Main item of the system is a modular middleware system, which allows - on basis of the state-of-the-art - to add further modules, e.g. for integration of the utility (counted measurand exchange, alerting in control stands), of the accounting service provider or for the energy trade. The connection of the systems and market participants is realised on basis of predefined access modules. On basis of the used middleware further applications, e.g. ERP (for accouting, logistics, warehousing etc.) are available. The empuron approach provides a combination of the following features: (1) Platform independendy in concerning the servers, (2) Software modularity by the inset of a middleware using prefabricated modules (SOA) and modelling of workflows, (3) Provision of reusable gateway modules (inverter communication, control system connection, data synchronisation of counted measurands, accounting, internal and external service processes, ...) Especially to emphasize is the technological progress of the empuron solutions: General state-of-the-art is a specialized server or work station based data management, as well as web or work station based visualization of photovoltaic data. In contrast the integration of services on a uniform system platform (middleware) and the manifold system functions are the essential innovations of the empuron solutions in the market of the solar technology.
